About Ace

We are looking to re-home our German Shepherd Ace. We have had him since he was a puppy and he has been a great dog! He is 2 years old and AKC registered. We tried to socialize him as much as possible and he has always done well with the kids/people he has grown up around but as he's matured he doesn't seem to do as well with strangers. He also has never done well with small dogs. Our neighbor had a tiny chihuahua that ran into our yard one day and Ace grabbed it (almost like he thought it was a toy) and unfortunately it died. We also had an incident recently with a different neighbor (who he doesn't know) that came into the yard and he went over to him and was sniffing him and checking him out then when the neighbor went to pet him he bit at his hand. Because of these two situations we feel that we need to find a different home for him and hopefully find someone who has experience with training German shepherds as he could use some obedience training. Other than that incident where he nipped at the neighbor he has never been known to be aggressive. He is a gorgeous dog and very intelligent! He is also a great companion and wants to please! With some time and attention he could make someone an amazing dog. We hope to find someone who has had German shepherds in the past and has a good understanding of their personalities.
