About Elmer

Meet Elmer, who is ready to be 'stuck on you' like glue, hence the name. This sweet two-year-old, 65 lb. bulldog/pittie mix has been through a lot in the past couple of years and is now ready for his next chapter! Elmer is a beautiful and well-mannered gentleman with a sweet soul and precious smile. He is so smart, playful, obedient, but can also be silly and goofy. He LOVES to be out in the yard playing with his toys, running laps, soaking up the sun, or rolling in the grass. Elmer's a perfect mix between active and calm - moderate to low energy level inside but high, yet controllable, outside. He's always up for an adventure and rides great in the car! Elmer is friendly with everyone he meets, including children of all ages - he's very gentle and respectful of them. He's a very good boy and is both house/crate trained and walks great on leash. Elmer has commands down like a pro (sit, down, drop it, leave it, just to name a few) and is super food motivated and easily trainable. He has amazing recall skills as well. He sleeps throughout the night in his bed and has shown no destructive behaviors, resource guarding, aggression, or obsessive barking (but will alert if someone is at the door) since being in his foster home. Elmer's ideal home would be one with a loving family and preferably no other pets. He can be dog selective so if you do have a pup, multiple meet & greets would be required to ensure it's a good match. A fenced yard and dog savvy adopters would be a major plus. His adoption fee is $350 and Elmer is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.
