About Gus

It is with a sad but hopeful heart that our family is seeking a new home for Gus. Gus came to us from the streets at about a year old (he is 3 now). He has made phenomenal progress! He can almost loose leash walk and knows several commands: sit, down, off, leave it, etc. He is very smart, trainable, protective, active, adventuresome, and ridiculously adorable. Gus loves to road trip and has hiked several parks in multiple states. He is crate trained and takes his time-outs in it. Gus needs a calm home with an active lifestyle. He is slow to warm up to people, so a household with unfamiliar people coming in often is stressful for him. Gus's ideal family would be one or two adults who are active, patient, calm, and willing to invest in daily training.
