Rowan didn't get a great start in life after being purchased as a 'pure bred' Border Collie (we're pretty sure he is not ). Regardless of what they thought his breed was, his family was not prepared for this energetic, extremely intelligent puppy. After a few months, his life was limited to mostly crate time with potty breaks and minimal play time. They did some puppy training but did not stay consistent with it. Luckily for him Darlene Casey came to the rescue and he has been in foster at her house. Rowan has made great progress, but he will need a patient family who will be willing and able to continue his training. Rowan has done well with other dogs and has been introduced to tiny humans and done well. He will need continued socialization to make up for his minimal introduction to the world as a puppy. A committed owner could probably make a sport performance dog with him. In one session at the agility school, even though he was nervous, he learned the A frame, the walk way, the tunnel and 'table' all on leash for now to keep his focus. Rowan's new family should be prepared to make him part of the family. He spent enough time separated and on his own with his previous family.
