About Little Ritchie

Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet LITTLE RITCHIE! This 5-year old, tutti-frutti pittie is waiting in a Wantagh, New York shelter for someone to bring him home. A fur-ever home or even a foster home will do so he won't have the heebie-jeebies of kennel life any longer. You've heard the quote 'A good dog is a tired dog' but with Little Ritchie you can count on him being good all the time! This picture was taken after an exciting session of training and playing with one of his shelter pals. Tongue out tired is a great look for him. Wouldn't cozying up to this hunk of love be wonderful? The shelter staff (and Ritchie) will tell you more, but for starters, Little Ritchie loves to play fetch, enjoys all types of toys, and knows some basic commands. He is also houstrained, neutered, and UTD with shots. Being a shelter dog means he's been bounced around. He would benefit from an experienced person to let him have time to his new home. It takes Ritchie time to get comfortable with new people, so his person will protect him from strangers. Kids must be older and dog-savvy. Little Ritchie does play nicely with some of the other shelter dogs so he may be able to go to a home with one resident dog who is similar in size and playstyle. A meet and greet for all household members, both two legged and four, is required. No cats due to unknown experience with them. Ritchie is located at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh, NY. If you would like more information, you have lots of choices! You may 1) Call the shelter at 516-785-5220, ext 4641; 2) email to adopt at [email protected]; 3) email to foster [email protected]; or 4) why not just stop by the shelter at 3320 Beltagh Ave, Wantagh, NY! Please tell them Animal Rescue Konnection in MA sent you! Little Ritchie says, Send Me Some Lovin' soon! #ARKforLittleRitchie #JustSaveThem
