About Clifford

How is this dog still sitting in a rescue? Clifford is quite possibly the biggest baby we have in the rescue at the moment! He is the sweetest, silliest, dopiest goofball who could NOT be more lovable. Clifford's only downside is he is ornery with cats and really can't live with one. Otherwise, he is the greatest kid ever! (oh wait....he is also very food-motivated - countertops aren't always safe!) But still, an awesome kid! Cliffords personality really shines! He is as playful as a puppy, loves to take his stuffed babies out in the yard and throw them all over the place then run and snatch them up to do it again. When the fun games are over, Clifford will very gently climb on to your lap and give you soft little baby-kisses and little nibbles on your nose. He is just a giant baby! In bed, you can lay on this dog, use him as a pillow, pull his ears, tail....he does not care what you do to him as long as you're touching him! Clifford gets along with most dogs he meets, he does better with the ladies though. He can come on a little strong while playing with other dogs, so he would need to be with a more submissive and calmer personality that won't get too cranky with his playtime shenanigans, he can be a persistent pest at times when he wants to play. But of course a dedicated human monitoring his play will help keep him in line and keep the peace. None of us can understand how Clifford hasn't been snatched up yet, he is just an awesome and super-fun, lovable big goof that makes us laugh on a daily basis.
