About Violet

Violet is a beautiful and loving 6 year old sphynx cat born on Valentines day in 2016. She is very loving with people, other cats, and friendly towards dogs. She loves to wear clothes and has quite the wardrobe that will go with her to her new home. She does like a lot of attention and will benefit living in a home with people and cats that she can snuggle with. She is playful, inquisitive, highly intelligent, and extremely agile. She does have feline herpes, which manifests in sneezing. We give her Lysine gel which helps but does not completely eliminate her sneezing. She gets occasional watery eyes (treated with eye gel a few times per month). We understand that feline herpes is contagious with other cats. Otherwise, she appears to be healthy, both physically and mentally. She is originally from Florida (and was brought to Vermont by plane) when her Florida owner was moving and couldn't bring her with him. We hated to see her go to a shelter in Florida. Violet wants someone who can give her the attention that she needs and she will be a wonderful companion. The adoption fee will help to recover some of the costs including plane ticket, carrier, vet check up, misc. cat items, and lots of clothes.
