About Lyla

Lyla is a pretty one-year-old female Blue Healer mix that was surrendered along with her best pal Wessie. Lyla adores her friend and feels comforted when she is near. They shared a crate together at night too. We would love to see Lyla and Wessie adopted together but will separate them to get each a good home. Lyla would easily accept another friendly pup as well. Though she would never harm them, Lyla will bark at cats non-stop. So we wouldn't recommend her to any family with cats. She is very loving but can be nervous around strangers and small children that are excitable. Lyla is best in a home with an active person that will give her a lot of love and attention. A home with a large fenced-in backyard would be ideal. She is very bright and will sit upon command. Her favorites are belly rubs and cheese! Lyla needs more work to be housebroken but that will come quickly with a consistent schedule. She may be confined in a crate while you are away for short periods and at night.
