About Sailor

Sailor is our little Special needs Saint Mix boy, he is the one that was the oddball in our Ocean litter rescued from a Georgia shelter. Sailor saw the vet today and since last week gained 2.4 pounds at now over 6 pounds at 5 weeks old. This sweet boy has officially been declared BLIND! He will be ready for adoption in 3-4 more weeks, he is so cute - he was playing with his foster sister Maize at the vet's office today! I will post a video in the comments. This guy needs a special home without young children as blind dogs can be a big risk with swift movements. He will need someone who will get help training with how to touch and sound train a blind dog, who will keep his environment the same so he can get around well by memory. He is already doing this at his foster home, he is such a sweet smart boy!! We were quite scared for him at first, it was really touch and go for a bit but now the vet has declared him healthy and doing fantastic!!
