About Winnie

Adoption Fee: $500
Rottweiler / Doberman Pinscher
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Winnie, a sweet Rottweiler/Doberman mix puppy. She is good with other dogs and loves people. Winnie was transferred from Pinal County Animal Control after testing positive for Parvo, which she has successfully recovered from. She was extremely malnourished before she got Parvo, so it's a miracle this baby survived. Winnie is between 6-9 months old. Due to her previous malnourishment and missing what she needed to grow properly, she is small, but she seems to be catching up now. She was lucky enough to receive a grant so that she could attend a board and train and be professionally trained by one of the best Rottweiler trainers in the state (Dynamic Dog Training AZ) She will finish school around June 19th and be ready to go to her new home after that. Her tail is cropped. 6/10/22 Update from her trainer: DAY 6 WINNIE UPDATE! This girl is a fast learner! She can 'come and 'down' to all five spots that I ask her to in my home, she can hold a sit at the crate door, and while I am walking around the kitchen, she's learning a sit from a down, she has started e-collar training two days ago and is just beginning to understand the concepts. She is working on a 2 out of 100 on a micro educator, which puts out 20% less stimulation than a mini educator! Her duration 'place' is getting better every day; she still breaks 'place' when my husband comes out of his office because she wants to go and see him! She is starting to go to 'place' on her own, so I think she likes 'place'. She's still a little whiny when she's excited. She's been friendly with the six dogs I've introduced her to. She still has a lot of puppy qualities. She's great in her crate. Her walk is getting good, and she will automatically sit when you stop walking! I think she's going to be a very obedient dog. I think one day she will make an excellent hiking partner; she seems to be up for anything!
