About Velvet

Black Velvet and that little boy's smile, black Velvet with that slow southern style! This Texas kitty sure is a looker�'�| She certainly lives up to her name with her soft and fluffy coat. Velvet came to us from Lytle Animal Control with four fuzzy little babies. Now, she's ready to retire from motherhood and pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a housecat. Velvet is an independent lady who plays hard to get, but with time she will learn to trust you. After about a week in her foster home, she transformed from a scared shelter kitty into a much more confident animal. Now, she loves to follow around her foster mom and has a special interest in her cooking. She will approach her for shoulder rubs and back scratches, but is also balanced in that she enjoys her own space. One funny thing about this little lady is she can be very vocal! She will not hesitate to tell you what she wants and when she wants it. We think she will shine even brighter when she has found her forever family and a stable home.
