About Jack Russell mix pups

4 ADORABLE JRT MIX PUPPIES. These Jack Russell terrier mix pups were born at our rescue on March 5 and are now waiting for their forever homes. We have two females (Brooke and Pumpkin) and two males (Bandit and Loki) available. (You will see 5 pups with their mother in the video, but the runt has already been adopted.) They're playful, outgoing and curious/ready to meet the world. All have been wormed, received their first three 'puppy' (DAPP) vaccinations and are current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. We're making them available to approved applicants on a 'first come, first choose' basis, rather than accepting applications for individual pups. Puppies are a LOT of work and require a LOT of time and attention to keep them clean and healthy and to socialize them properly at this critical stage of their development. Like human babies, they aren't 'potty trained' and won't be able to control their bladder and bowels for at least a couple of months. That means cleaning up after them every few hours. Once they are able to 'hold it' for a few hours at a time, they need to be taken in and out frequently to learn the basics of house training. These pups also need to be fed three times a day until they're 6 months old. And they need to be introduced to new people, places and experiences to develop their social skills. For those reasons, we're looking for adopters who won't leave their pup alone for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time for at least the next 4 months and who are committed to giving them the attention, play, training and variety of experiences they need to grow into great adult dogs. Ideal candidates are those who work from home, work only part-time, are retired or have a parent or spouse that is home while the applicant is at work and do not have children under age 10 in the household.
