Socks showed up at my house purring for food and love. Two years before that, he was a stray/semi-feral that I had gotten TNRd (trap neuter vaccinate release). Turns out Socks had bad teeth that needed to come out. Now that he's healed from having dental surgery, he's ready for adoption. He's gentle and sweet, about 7 years old, about 9 lbs, and enjoys being lazy with his human companion. He will be shy at first, but he's not aggressive, and just needs people and other animals to be patient. He likes cat-friendly cats. Socks is not yet a lap cat and does not like being cuddled/held, but will sit near you, and he very much loves pets and playtime (especially string-like toys). He allows being picked up/put in a carrier, and loves being brushed. He HAS been allowed onto human furniture (bed, etc). He would do best in a calm home with experienced, patient cat parents. The way to his heart is food and patience and cheek scritches. Socks loves his plush cat bed, which I will provide.
