About Malachi

I have a five year old pitbull named Malachi. He is a very sweet dog with people and loves kids. He has lived with children and other dogs and cats. As he has gotten older, he has started to chase the cats and try to grab them occasionally, so he would do better in a home without cats. I also have an old chihuahua who is a terror and always tries to attack Malachi. Malachi is usually very patient, but the other day, when my chihuahua snapped at him, he grabbed my chihuahua and punctured his neck. I am trying to keep the dogs separate, but my concern is that I have kids with special needs and I'm worried they will accidentally let the dogs together and there could be another fight and one of the kids could get hurt accidentally. He is usually good with other dogs, especially females. I believe he just got tired of my chihuahua nipping at him He has never, ever tried to be aggressive with a person at all, but because my kids have special needs, they might get in the way and get hurt. He is a very submissive dog. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and on flea and heartworm preventative.
