About The GIFT of LIFE

Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Do you believe in second chances? Imagine wandering the streets and fields ...hungry and scared .... searching for food, water and shelter. Imagine this young pup, around 5 mos old, starving and dehydrated ending up in a busy busy shelter in Texas....one of many desperately hoping to find a loving forever home. But his chances are very slim in such a busy shelter.... So he sits in his little kennel, pleading with his sweet soulful eyes for a second chance. God knows he is just a baby and his whole life should be ahead of him. Days go by...weeks.... as he sits and hopes for a miracle. As fate has it one of the shelter volunteers fell in love with this precious boy and started spreading the word to other rescues. She knew he is special and will make someone a wonderful, loving, loyal and sweet companion. Looking into his eyes is all it took for a Colorado shelter to say yes to bringing him into the mountains. This was 2 mos. ago and Lancelot quickly became a shelter favorite. He was pretty skinny when he arrived, his coat was dull but he was quickly nursed back to health. With a tail wag and an occasional doggie kiss, he shows his appreciation. Lancelot appears to have an old injury in one of his eyes but it does not slow him down at all. This resilient angel has overcome so much adversity and also abandonment, escaping death row- yet he has forgiven ALL that has happened to him in the past. This handsome 58 lbs, 11 mos old Lab mix is a fighter, a TRUE survivor and his happy, joyful personality is infectious and insurmountable - so uplifting. Lancelot survived for a reason....... his journey on this earth is not over yet.....maybe he is supposed to be a 'soulmate', a 'healer' for a human who will look at his amazing spirit and deep into his sweet soul to see his beauty within.....helping this human to heal and to forgive '|..just like he has healed and forgiven.
