About Tilly

Tilly is a 5-year-old Dachshund mix weighing 15 pounds. When she first arrived, she was so scared that she would hide and cower whenever anyone went near her. After many months, she is still scared but has come a long way. She will let you pick her up but you have to corner her first. She is a bit of an escape artist, and dug out of the backyard twice. The first time we had to trap her to get her back. The second time she calmly came walking in through the back door, went to sit by her room and looks at us as if to say, 'what, I didn't go anywhere, I was just getting some sun'. So she is pretty smart! She cannot be left alone outdoors no matter how secure you think the fence is. She will not walk on a leash so she does need to have a home with a fenced in yard. She gets along with most dogs and has not been cat or child tested. Her adoption donation is $250 which includes her spay, vaccinations, microchip. She is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. If you will give her time, she will blossom into a lovable, friendly, happy girl.
