About Pinky

Pinky is the best puppy. She is a UKC purple ribbon Seven Generation black & tan coonhound, whose mother was a Champion of Show. Not quite three, Pinky is immensely agile and stunningly tenacious. Pinky is proud to be herself, loves being loved, and is eager to please her people. She has excellent genetics and is the epitome of the black&tan breed with a sleek coat, perfect teeth, a beautiful distinct yodel, and an excellent nose. We all love Pinky, she is our baby, but our home isn't the right place for her anymore. We own breeding pairs of coonhounds and recently, suddenly, had our black&tan boy pass away. It was a traumatic loss and our family is still deep in grief. Pinky is used to being part of a pack and gets along well, submissively, with all our other dogs. We need Pinky to be in an excellent home. We come from rural Maine where the dogs could roam on our off-grid farm, scout out birds, and play rambunctiously together as a pack, then come inside for cuddles. Pinky requires significant opportunity for activity and outdoor time, and ideally other dogs to interact with, but also loves being close to her people. We will not accept applicants that would have her as an outdoor only dog, living on a chain, or similar. She is highly trainable and will thrive in an affectionate and active home.
