Please note that we will ask for a vet reference. Name: Lucky Age: 7 years Breed: Labrador Retriever, 83# large Sex: Male, neutered Location: Tarrant County, Texas Vet Information: Lucky is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and has had a negative heartworm test. Lucky recently became blind due to diabetes and has immature cataracts. He has done very well when he has to stay at the vet for blood tests. He is otherwise in good health and is stable on his insulin of 20 units twice a day. He is on a prescription diet, Hill Science Diet WD. Owner Information: Lucky is an indoor dog with the run of the house. He is housebroken and leash trained. While a puppy, Lucky had four weeks of training at PetSmart, and he knows cues for sit, stay, down, come, wait, and get your ball! He enjoys walks and runs in the park! Lucky is an outgoing boy who is good with people of all ages, cats, dogs, and other small animals. He currently lives with a cat, a bird, and an outdoor koi pond. He is good with his owner's young grandchildren and dogs he has met around town. Lucky is not possessive with treats, toys, or food, and he has never shown aggression to a person or other animal. He has no bite history. His owner would like you to know: 'It is with great sadness that we have come to a limit in funds in order to keep up with caring for our dog Lucky. We have gotten him where he is stable on his insulin of 20 units twice a day and feeding him prescription diet food along with fresh chicken and veggies. We are trying to maintain the cost, but it has become a hardship, and if we can find a good home that will welcome him, it would be a blessing. He is a great dog. He is great with kids and other animals, too.' Does anyone have room for sweet Lucky?
