About Alexy

Hi! My name is Alexy which means 'defender'. I am 6 years old and I am ready to be your bi-eyed girl! Yep, I have one blue and one amber eye. According to legend, that means I have one eye in heaven and one here on Earth. I would love to look at you with both of them! I am a great mix, golden retriever and Siberian husky, let me tell you, I am so pretty everyone would like to pet me. I am super smart, eager to please you and love to play catch! I am a dream on the leash although I do need an occasional reminder to not pull. I am polite and will wait to be fed. I do like to lay near my people (and sometimes get in the way as huskies do) because I love being the center of attention! I know 'sit', 'come' and 'wait'. I will also wait for you to tell me it's OK to get on the couch with you. I am on prescription food and get about a cup twice a day. I also need 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of Mira lax sprinkled on top every feeding since my digestive track is a little delicate. I am a bit nervous around other dogs if they are not leashed and I am. Also little kids can make me jumpy. I do get along with other dogs though. I do not know anything about cats. My perfect family is one that will make me feel loved and safe. I would also add that little dogs might startle me so kids 10 and older would be ideal. I am ready to show you what I am made of and give you everything I am. Are you ready for me?
