About Luna

Lab
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Introducing the lovely LUNA! She is a purebred Chocolate Labrador Retriever who is 6-years old, 70 pounds, and located in Nottingham, NH. Past the puppy and adolescent craziness, but still very young to give you years of companionship, she is an ideal age to be adopted! Luna adjusts exceptionally well to the energy level of her people. She happily follows along with spending rainy days on the couch or going on a challenging hike. For indoor time, she does enjoy being on the furniture, so be ready to make room! From hiking, camping, hunting, and swimming to going to the beach or mountains, Luna's resume is full. Even though she doesn't like getting in the car to go on adventures she has so much fun once she is there. On the lighter side, Luna loves to snuggle and kiss (she's a licker!), and is friendly with people. She's very sweet but also loves to have her butt scratched! She loves to play with toys, especially chewing on bones and pulling stuffing out of soft toys, but does not eat the pieces! Luna is a smart dog. She has many skills, some of which she inherited from her father, a champion bird dog. Luna has excellent retrieval skills and some basic waterfowl hunting skills. She also walks well on leash, is trusty off-leash, trained for an electric fence, and attended basic obedience. She knows sit, stay, down, come, heel, freetime, bed, and 'manners'. Note: Luna must be your only pet. She's not good with other dogs but will pass by them while walking on a leash. She has no experience with cats. You must be wondering why she needs a new home. Simply put, she doesn't do babies. Her life has centered around two adults, but now they all live in a home on a shared property where their new grandchild lives. After growling at the baby, who will be a big part of their daily lives, they asked ARK for rehoming assistance which is what responsible people do. Luna is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vet care and shots, and housetrained. Luna does not like being in a crate, but she is able to be left alone at home without issue. She gets lots of pleasure being with people, but she also has an independent side. After reading her bio do you think Luna could be your next fur kid? The following is Luna's home and family checklist, which we've designed for the perfect match for both Luna and her adopter. Her checklist will not be waived. Only pet in the home Kids in the home must be dog-savvy. Ages 8-10 or above.
