About Freya (FKA Faith)

Adoption Fee: $500
Great Dane
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Location: Seattle, Washington. (Age: 5yrs) Meet Freya who is like her name sake - a goddess in every way. Freyja the goddess reigns over beauty, love, wisdom, and war, and our Freya couldn't be more beautiful, kind, loving, or wise. Unfortunately she's not very good at war unless you're talking about cats, squirrels, and rabbits. Freya had a rough start in life, and you'd think this would give her rough edges, but it's not true at all. She is a bundle of love. It's true. This means you'll never go to the bathroom on your own again, but who doesn't love a dog who'd rather be by your side than anything else? Freya would do well with someone who can spend a lot of time with her at first and who doesn't have to leave her alone for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time. She is a low energy kind of girl, but still needs a few miles of walking a day and some play time with her favorite human or dog. Freya's having a little trouble making friends, because she doesn't have a lot of experience. She shows all the right attitudes and all the right body language, but once they're done sniffing she isn't sure what to do next. Her foster family is working on this. This smart girl loves puzzle toys and small stuffed animals. She's just figured out how to make toys Squeak and is loving that. She loves wet food and cold cut meats, but hates water. Dry shampoo and wet towelettes will get this girl shining white every time. Freya's leash manners are coming along nicely. A month ago she didn't know how to walk on a leash; now she can walk calmly with you most of the time and is learning to heel and pull on command to help her foster mom walk up hills. Freya self potty-trained and has never had an accident. She is crate trained, but prefers not to be locked in especially at night. She is never destructive when left alone except for a single pair of headphones. She has decided they are a toy. Her foster father was too kind to dissuade her of this idea. Freya has only had a few experiences with children and like many dogs without experience, would prefer children who have large dog experience or over 3 ft tall. Freya is recovering from some wounds from her previous life, and will not be available for adoption until early Fall. ======================================================== To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176
