About Romeo

Romeo is a 4 year old sweetheart and a very loving dog. At times I think he is half human. He is neutered & up to date with all of his vaccines. He gets Heartgard & flea medicine monthly & does have issues with allergies with the changes of weather. He is house trained & crate trained & stays in the house alone without issue. He is very anxious and not sure of his surroundings when outside of his home and when around other dogs or people. While in the home he wants to lather all the adults, even strangers, with lots & lots of love. He has been attacked three times in the past and I'm sure this is a big part of his anxieties outside of the home. He is a mess when he hears super loud noises like a gun or fireworks. Unfortunately I have a neighbor that thinks 4th of July is every day. He has been through basic training but needs constant continued training to maintain it. He doesn't do well with other dogs or with children and has lunged toward a child in the past & knocked her down but since then I do not trust him around children. Due to my age, his strength, his jealousy of my other dog and his increased aggression toward her, I am need of finding him another home. Romeo is in need of a home with someone that loves & understands the pit bull breed, a home with only adults & no young or preschool children and a home with no other animals, although I do have birds & that has not been an issue. At this point when I take him out and about, I put a muzzle on him for his security & everyone's protection as it prevents people, especially children, from approaching him & it makes him calmer.
