About Annie

Bulldog mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

I have had Annie for almost 2 years and rescued her when she was about 9/10 weeks old. In the 2 year timeframe it has just been my son (who was 10 when we got her) and I with Annie. However, in the last few months my family dynamic has changed and it has been a hard adjustment in our home. My family has doubled in size and there is a lot more high energy in our home. I have never tested Annie but the vet and boarding place seem to think she is a lab/pittie/hound mix. She is extremely sweet ٴ and loving in a comfortable/easy going home environment. She is still working on her confidence through leash training, socializing, and learning commands to over come some of her anxiety. She is kennel and potty trained. She is an extremely smart and alert dog and has been a security comfort for my home before the recent lifestyle change. Annie girl is very playful and has the energy to join you for long walks! She loves playing fetch and for you to chase her around the yard! She enjoys being outside and soaking up the sun!! Since is has mostly been my son and I in her life she has challenges being around men until she has sniffed them out and feels a sense of comfort. She feeds off energy and it is difficult for her to be around anxious individuals. She has had play dates with other pups such as a boxer and a Great Pyrenees. She also does group play when I board her. She is boarded or goes to doggie daycare several times throughout the month due to my work schedule. She is usually placed with other dominate female dogs in group play. When it comes to a home environment she does well in a more calm manner environment with minimal loud noises i.e. running/yelling/little people playing. She has never bit anyone but has been known to growl and bark if she is feeling unfortable in the moment. I have spoken with a professional trainer on ways she can over come her anxiety and daily training will continue to help her. I believe an ideal match for her would be a single female or an 2 adult home without littles that has another medium/large size dog for her to play with. It breaks my heart to have to rehome my Annie girl, but I am keeping her lifestyle/environment in mind in this decision. From the videos you can see the yard she is used to with children and other dogs next door. She is a great watcher of her neighbors!
