About Drew

My story could begin with being a young mama dog abandoned in the hills by Ahwatukee after I was done caring for my babies�'�| I could tell you about how scared I was all alone with no food or water, or how I would watch the families in the houses and long to be with them, sleep on a soft bed, and eat the food they made that smelled soooo good to my empty tummy! I think, however, that my story really begins when one of the families saw me and did the best thing ever�'�|they left food and water out for me! They called for help from HARTT, who I found out later is a special group of wonderful people who help dogs just like me. The volunteer with HARTT worked with the people and helped me feel not so afraid, and one day I decided it was ok to trust them. Just like that I was given yummy food and fresh clean water, and that night I got to sleep inside on a soft bed! I was so happy that my tail just wouldn't stop wagging, and I couldn't stop kissing them and soaking up all the pets and ear scratches. There were even dogs to say hi to and play with! The nice lady from HARTT introduced me to Two Chihuahuas Rescue and they fell in love with me instantly! They had a perfect foster home for me with the most wonderful foster mom and even a chihuahua brother to live with. They told me that I was now part of the TCR family and was going to be loved forever! In my new foster home, I have a yard to play in and a big house to lounge in. I love cuddling with my foster mom on the couch most of all! There are lots of toys and a love love love to play with ALL of them so much! Every day I get yummy food�'�|and don't even get me started on the treats, I would pretty much do anything for a treat. I love to go on long walks with my foster mom and she says that I do so well, although sometimes I get excited and can pull a little. I am starting to learn some basic obedience, I know 'sit', 'down', and 'wait'. My foster mom says that I am so smart! I love people and get along with other dogs. I have even met some kids and loved them so much! My foster mom says she would love to see me in a home with an active family that can play with me, take me on hikes and outings, and most of all love me forever and ever. I am up to date on all of my vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed and ready for my forever family. Do you think you could be the next chapter in my story?
