About Palmer

Adoption Fee: $250
Siberian Husky / American Bulldog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

#Corky, #Dorky & so much #Fun, Ladies & Gentlemen meet #Palmer. He's a 8 month old #AmericanBulldog/#Husky mix who weighs in around 45lbs. Simply put, Palmer is just as #Handsome as he is sweet. Both Palmer & his sister Sadie were rescued after being dumped in Palmer Park in #Detroit. That being said, although he appears to be confident, Palmer has many insecurities just like you and I. But at the end of the day, don't we all? Although Palmer loves making new human friend, he's still a little skeptical and a bit nervous at first- especially when it comes to little humans. But don't worry... Palmer is easily redirected with a yummy treat or the second you tell him that he's handsome or a good boy. Once you earn his trust within the first few minutes, I'd be very careful as he's a real charmer and will sweep you right off your feet. Did we mention that he gives the best hugs? And if you don't like puppy kisses, Palmer is definitely not the guy for you. Palmer lives to play with his pack, enjoys his daily walks with his foster Dad, craves human companionship and loves to experience new adventures. He's just your typical guy who is a big outdoor enthusiast who loves to be active. His hobbies include hiking, playing in water and snow at Belle Isle, collecting sticks on his walks, playing tug-of-war with his new giant rope toy, wrestling in the backyard with his foster siblings and cuddling up with a good movie at the end of a productive day. FYI, Palmer is a huge fan of popcorn %8D. This dapper man truly craves adventure and would make a great companion for an active household. Palmer would thrive best with an active family, a big fenced in yard to play in, and continued positive reinforcement training and socialization opportunities to build his confidence. Palmer is 100% potty trained, 100% crate trained, knows his basic commands (Including his new favorite which is how to shake hands) and walks nicely on a leash. Palmer would thrive best in a home with another younger dog that is fully trained that can show him the ropes. ***Adoption Requirements: No Exceptions*** - Fenced In Yard Required. - No Kids Under 13. Palmer is currently up for adoption through Help Us, Help Them Dog Rescue. His adoption fee is $250 & will include his distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvo, & lepto vaccines; deworming; microchip; heartworm test; fecal test & being fixed. Palmer is currently on both flea & tick, as well as heartworm prevention. Palmer is currently being fostered within the metro Detroit area. We kindly ask that you please wait until then to ask any questions. Please understand that it may take us up to two weeks to process your application once you apply. Our mission is to play an active role throughout our community by 'Lending A Helping Hand' to animals that were either abandoned, in shelters, unwanted, homeless, chained outdoors, or victims of prior abuse and/or neglect. Our rescue family has accomplished this by setting up each animal and their new families up for success by educating and consulting pet parents about what's in the best interest of their pets overall well-being, and creating an awareness in our community about the vital importance of fully vetting and spaying or neutering their pets. #HelpUsHelpThem #HelpUsHelpThemDogRescue #RescueDogsOfDetroit
