*COURTESY POST FOR RESCUE ASSOCIATE* My name is BALTO and I'm a GORGEOUS 3 yr M White/Sable M Siberian Husky. I'm 45 lbs of PURE SILLY FLUFFERNUTTER but a SUPERMODEL of a dog with stunning blue eyes! I was given up by my owner due to NO TIME. I was left outside and never allowed inside so I have no house manners and have not lived with other dogs so I need socialization and manners training. I was never walked either so I'm a little wild on the leash and need further leash training. Additionally I'm 'food funny' and will guard my food so I must be fed away from other dogs and left alone when eating, but I can be trained out of this with the proper training techniques. I'm a HOT MESS but I'm super SWEET, SILLY & FUN LOVING and regardless of how badly I was treated, I am sooo HAPPY GO LUCKY and always have a BIG SMILE on my face. I'm a GREAT dog for someone VERY ACTIVE. I love to RUN and FETCH and can hike for miles. I'm an outdoor dog, so living in a home with a FENCED IN YARD is BEST... and I can be with another dog with proper introduction. I love small dogs and believe it or not I LIKE CATS. Because of my energy & my food guarding NO YOUNG KIDS... it's best if I go with older kids ages I2 yrs+ I need someone who KNOWS, APPRECIATES and LOVES my BREED! Someone who is EXPERIENCED with handling strong willed breeds and will understand that I need DAILY STRUCTURED EXERCISE, DISCIPLINE and BOUNDARIES TRAINING. I need someone to take the time to 'rope me in'. I'm SUPER SMART, QUICK TO LEARN and EAGER TO PLEASE... so if you give me the time and effort I will be a GEM of a DOG in no time! IF that's you...
