About Kira

Kira is a rescue who was found with an embedded chain around her neck. She was very skittish and had to be trapped. She is fearful of men, but getting better. She is not aggressive, but very scared of men she does not know. It took her well over a month to sit next to my husband on the couch. She is currently at the trainer, who is female, and doing very well but she will need a patient new mom who will let her take her time to get to know her. Kira is super sweet and loves to cuddle and play. She is HIGH energy and would need daily exercise. She is not very tall, but she is solid and a good 65 lbs with massive feet for her size. She is doing very well in the potty training department, but she will need more guidance and a routine schedule to continue her success. We have had her with dogs ranging from over 100 lbs to under 10 lbs. She plays rough, so I would not recommend her around small dogs unless she is supervised. She likes to sit on them. She has been around cats and does not hurt them, but her high energy frightens them off. She is young, our vet puts her between 1-2 years old. Not a good dog for first time owners. Knowledge and experience about Husky/Malamute would be ideal.
