Sam is your man! This sweet puppy is around a year old. He is great with other dogs but would do fine as a single dog as well. He loves to play, go on walks and snuggle up with his humans of all ages (tested with kids ages 3-14 and has done AMAZING). Sam loves to play with toys, especially balls and bats them around like a cat. Tug of war and chase with his foster dog brother is also a favorite of his, though sometimes he doesn't like to share. Sam is still learning but knows the basic commands: sit and lay down. He even learned shake in just a few training sessions! He is food motivated and listens very well. As with all dogs, he will benefit from some additional training. He loves to go on walks but gets so excited to see the world now that he is free, he tends to tug on the leash. Since being with his foster family, Sam has had a few accidents in the house but is well on his way to being fully house trained, and knows how to use the dog door. Sam would prefer to be with his humans so will whine when initially put in his crate, but settles after a few minutes. This sweetie really has the best of what labs have to offer and will be a great addition to any family. Won't you come meet our lucky boy!? He will without a doubt win your heart! KNOWN HISTORY - We came across Sam at the Amarillo, TX shelter during our visit there. He was set to be euthanized. The shelter was full, they needed his kennel. There was NO REASON for this young, fun, sweet boy to die! Nope��%BD'��%BD| couldn't handle the thought so we scooped this lover up and brought him home to Colorado where he will know what it's like to be loved and cherished for the GOOD BOY that he is!
