About Bowie

DOB 6/29/21 WINK, WINK...look at me! In the 80's, did you think David Bowie was unique, striking, handsome - well so is our boy, Bowie! He has such an expressive face and just catches the eye of anyone who sees him! He is pretty hunk-a-licious! That's where the similarities end because our Bowie is a pretty shy boy. He likes to just hang out in the house of the sofa, and he's pretty lazy for a young pup. He has mastered the ability to lay in all kinds of different positions and his pictures demonstrate his lounging abilities. On the sofa he likes to be near you but won't be on top of you. Bowie will need another friendly pup in the home to build his confidence. He likes hanging out and sleeping with his furry foster siblings. The 3 of them can come and go in and out of the house throughout the day. Bowie will play a little bit with his siblings and then he's ready to chill out again. He does love road trippin', so he would LOVE to go with you!! He actually doesn't love being left alone and has some separation anxiety, so a family that works from home or home the majority of the time will be best for him. He likes everyone he meets (and let's be honest, he is so adorable, everyone loves him, too), so bring him with you, he'll be a hit! Bowie is good on a leash and likes going for walks with his people. Bowie doesn't require a fence since he loves being inside with his family; his adopters would need to be able to commit to several walks a day and play time in the house. He likes a variety of toys, soft, tug, chew, squeaky and shares them nicely. Because Bowie does not require a fence, and loves being indoors an apartment, condo or townhome would work for Bowie as well. He would likely do best in a home where someone is home most of the time, works from home, etc. Bowie gets along with all the pups he has met; he has not had an opportunity to be cat or kid tested. He is still 'puppy-nippy' with his young age, so young children (under age of 10) would probably not be a great fit for Bowie. We are working on his crate training and going slowly since he doesn't love it. Patience is key, and we will want an adopter that won't mind taking the time with Bowie to let him adjust and learn. He is a 57lb, Lab/Pit mix. As part of Bowie's $250 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
