My name is Joan and I'm a cute lady looking for my forever home! I used to live in a home with lots and lots of other cats and our person became overwhelmed and couldn't continue to care for us. The shelter is a big change for me and I'm understandably feeling a little uneasy and shy. I'm a very nice, sweet, curious, smart girl... it just takes me some time to adjust and come out of my shell. I form close bonds with people who take the time to gain my trust and I'll make some lucky person a great best friend. Also... I get along great with other cats! I've heard that gaining the trust of a shy cat is an incredibly rewarding experience and I think that's true.
