About Prince

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Prince was unfortunately surrendered to the shelter by his owners because to them he was 'too much to handle.' He is a big boy, and he's very strong. Admittedly, he doesn't seem to be too aware of his size. He does jump when he's excited, and sometimes will get a little mouthy like a puppy would when he's REALLY excited (like if you have a ball or a treat). He's just playing and doesn't realize he's being rude. Some training would fix that right up! His old owners did note that he's done well around children and other dogs before. We think Prince is open making friends with almost anyone - he's that friendly! Prince is a very happy boy who almost always has a smile (and drool) on his face. He's got a very unique appearance - his snout is so long and his bottom lip so short that he almost appears to have a mini trunk of sorts. He's a one of a kind for sure! Prince is very playful, and loves to keep active. His favorite activity is fetch - he loves it!!! Actually, he seems to just love balls in general, because after he fetches it he likes to play with it by himself for a while. He also enjoys being pet, especially after he's had the chance to let some of his energy out. Prince is a 2 year old Staffordshire who came into the shelter on 4/12. He weighs 69 lbs.
