About Mollie

Adoption Fee: $700
Poodle / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Mollie is a spunky, 42 pound labradoodle and is just under 2 years old. She is a wonderful, loving girl who is looking for her forever family. Don't let her doodle fur fool you as Mollie is NOT hypoallergenic. Mollie, through no fault of her own, has found herself bouncing from home to home. As a result she needs a family who has read, understands, and will follow our decompression instructions, which will include using a crate during the guest couple weeks to help with her transition https://pethelpful.com/dogs/TwoWeekShutdown EXACTLY as they are written. It will take time, patience, and consistency to gain Mollie's trust, but once you have it you will have gained a velcro dog companion. Mollie is well worth the wait and the extra effort. Mollie is very smart and very eager to learn/please, especially if treats are involved. For this reason Mollie will need a family that can provide her with the mental stimulation she both craves and needs. Mollie could certainly be trained as an agility dog if her new family was interested in doing that with her. Mollie currently knows sit, down, and off well, but is still working on come, leave it, and crate. Mollie does well once inside her crate, but may need extra guidance when asked to get in her crate. Mollie is also working on not pulling when walked on a leash. Mollie will require a family that can provide physical stimulation as well as mental stimulation. Mollie loves to chase EVERYTHING; tennis balls, dog toys, birds, cats, etc. It doesn't matter to her, she just loves to chase anything that moves. For this reason a fenced in yard is strongly recommended. If Mollie is not in a fenced in yard, she MUST be kept on a leash. It is also recommended that you have multiple toys to throw for her. Once Mollie gets ahold of the toy it's her treasure and she isn't too keen on giving it up, but she will happily chase a different toy that is being thrown for her. Mollie's ideal family consists of one whose people are primarily home as she doesn't like to be left alone. Her ideal family will also have a fenced in yard and a strong desire to continue working with her/training her. Lastly, Mollie's ideal family also will not have young children as Mollie, like all doodles, gets mouthy when she gets excited, but is easily corrected. Mollie has also been known to hop like a kangaroo when she gets excited. She may jump on you, but she knows 'off' and corrects extremely well. Mollie would do well as an only dog or in a home where she can be the boss dog. At the end of the day Mollie is a great girl, and is looking for a forever home that will help her blossom into the phenomenal dog she is meant to be. Mollie is UTD on shots and preventatives (has been given proheart 12 shot that is 12 months of heartworm prevention), spayed and microchipped. She is currently in a foster home in the Anderson SC area. We do adopt out-of-state but require adopters to travel to the foster home with their current dog/dogs (to ensure they will be friends) to pick up. Out of respect for our foster family's time and privacy, we do NOT arrange meet and greets without an application on file. Her adoption fee is $700.
