About Luciano and Kingston

Pit Bull / Lab
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Courtesy post...need adopter or rescue ҢҢ One more plea! These two were surrendered to Fredrick shelter about 2 weeks ago ٪%81 We are sharing them in a last ditch effort. Luciano will probably be fine no matter what, but Kingston is not going to survive without a rescue per Bette who tried so hard to keep them out of the shelter'|good with kids, cats and dogs. From Bette who met these two: 'Handsome Kingston and wiggly Luciano are looking for a new home or rescue! These 3-year-old boys are loving and snuggly and very trainable. My dog (the fluffy one in the pics) and I met them today in a busy urban park and found them to be wonderful! Luciano (black/dark brindle) is confident and adaptable. He might bark for a sec when encountering a new person, but almost immediately, he's ready to meet you and is wiggly and soft; he welcomes touch. Meeting a new dog, his first reaction is friendly excitement. Given a minute to walk near the new dog, he'll be ready to meet them calmly. Kingston (black/white) is a little insecure and a bit of a worrier. Meeting a new person, he will bark; if given free rein, he will just stand his ground and bark. After a minute, he's ready to meet you. With a new dog, he's pretty much the same: initial barking (you can feel the worry) but, given a chance to walk with the new dog, as he was with my dog today, he's like, 'oh hey, how *you* doin?' Luciano is the confident one; King does best if he is following Luce, letting Luce determine if the world is safe. These boys are brothers (littermates). Their last owner felt that they would do best adopted together but suggested that they could go to two separate families if they would allow regular visits. When left home alone, they've done best if they were left kenneled together. These boys were saved by their last owner from a trip to the shelter when their previous owner was moving. But their owner then went through significant changes in home and work that have resulted in these puppers being left crated for way too many hours each day. Last Dad loved them so much, but due to pregnant girlfriend had to surrender them. These boys like to follow their person around the house and yard. They have done well with other dogs, kids, and cats. They met one of my dogs today and did great! Later they met and hung out with a much smaller dog -- also great! While we met them, we got to see them interact with a child around age 7 and they were sweet with her. %9D%A4%8F They are neutered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. They do well with baths, too! Interested? Please email me at [email protected] to contact Bette with questions.
