About Calix

Calix is a smart, 2-year-old Shepherd/Rottie mix. He is approximately 66 lbs. He is a big, curious, playful puppy at that is still learning his manners and impulse control. He thinks he is a lap dog and willing to soak up all the love you can spare. He is athletic and needs a home that will support and provide daily exercise. Calix is a quick-learner and responds well to treat rewards. He can be very excitable on lead so will need some work on leash walking. He may be too much for some dogs so good introductions are key with him. He may do best as an only, highly spoiled dog. He loves squeaky toys but may destuff them or tear up blankets. Calix is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. Please contact us if you are interested in adopting, or even fostering, one of our dogs. We are a federal non-profit rescue.
