About Cody

Cody is a male bulldog that is between 1 and 2 years old. Cody and his mother were abandoned on a dirt road where there wasn't a house in sight. No food, water or shelter. It was during the super cold rainy days.I spent 2 weeks desperately trying to catch them. One evening I pulled up and Cody's mother was shot dead. He had his head laying on her. I got out and called him like I always did. Finally this time he came straight to me. He was trembling in fear. I carried him to my truck and I brought Cody's mother home and buried her. Cody is timid and a little unsure at times. Each day he's more trusting. Once he comes to you and you pet him he rolls over and lays on my feet with happiness. He loves toys and treats. Cody is very gentle taking treats. He is learning to walk on a leash and is making great progress. He doesn't hardly ever jump up on people. He is very sweet and gentle around kids. He gets along good with other big dogs. I haven't had him around little dogs but he shows no interest when he sees them. He has not been around cats either. Cody is not much of a barker and I have not seen him dig at all. This beautiful young boy is starving for love and attention. I can see him being a lap dog if given the opportunity. He is so sweet! It's almost like he's so appreciative for someone being kind to him. He melts like butter when you touch him. You can do anything to him and he just lays there. He doesn't mind his tail, feet, ears, mouth anywhere being touch or grabbed. He actually loves it! He squats when he potties, he doesn't hike his leg. He lives in a she shed at the moment and makes no mess. He goes outside to potty and goes in the same area each time. He is really a beautiful, fantastic boy. Cody is looking for a home that will show him love and affection. It's all he wants. I don't think he has ever had that in his life until now. Weighs around 60lbs
