About Flake

Talk about miss personality and such a love bug! She will let you hold her like a baby and fall asleep in your arms. Her ideal family will give her a lot of love, is an experienced dog owner and willing to give her some training. She is best suited for a family with adults, or a family with teenagers. She loves playing outside so her ideal home has a securely fenced in backyard. While she loves playing outside, she absolutely wants to be an indoor pet and part of the family. She has a medium energy level, so someone that matches would be perfect. Flake is very well behaved and only needs some training on walks and a a little more with food manners. She loves chasing squirrels, car rides, getting belly rubs, walks, going to the office, playing with toys and definitely snuggling with her human. PROFESSION - She earns her keep as an exterminator. Insects, especially flies, and other critters like mice don't stand a chance! Last chance to snag the sweet girl before she moves away. (Pedigree) Flake loves belly rubs and wrestling but can get a little rough when she gets excited. Just say 'gentle' or 1-minute time out and she calms down to the right level of play. Flake is currently together with our other foster dog and does do well meeting other dogs; however, she is best suited in a single dog family. While she and our other foster are extremely close, food can be an issue if another dog tries to steel from her. She doesn't have issues if humans touch her food though. I can put my hand in the bowl even when she's eating and she doesn't mind at all. CHILDREN - she does play a little rough so probably best suited with older teenagers. WALKS - she pulls at the start of her walk but calms down after walking for a few minutes. While she is pretty good on walks she does lunge at cats and anything moving, especially if on wheels of any kind (skateboards, bikes). Needs a little training here, but foster noticed it's easy to train b/c she's very food driven.
