Courtesy post for Bentley...currently in boarding, would love foster or forever home Bentley is a three-year-old, 58#, handsome black and white boy with the most perfect Dorito ears. He's excited to get to go outside so he is joyfully barky and jumpy in his kennel when he sees me. Understandably so, as Bentley is very social and craves attention from people that he doesn't get enough of when he's in his kennel. He's so ready to get outside and go on his walk! Once he's outside, Bentley often redirects his attention back to me when he's walking on the leash, which makes me think that he'll be easy to leash train! Bentley seems to be a medium-energy boy on average with occasional moments of overstimulation that are a result of being a very people-and-dog social pup confined to a kennel in which he gets very little of both. To help Bentley manage his over-stimulation, we work on commands together and also do nose-work, by playing 'find it' where Bentley has to sniff out tasty treats in the tall grass. The games work great, and he's able to focus intently on sniffing out the treat and then focus back on me! Bentley and the other dogs in the 'restricted' section of the shelter all got cows ears and yummy beef jerky treats provided by donations to @endpgbsl ! Bentley has met multiple dogs while at the shelter and seems to be very friendly and playful with them. This social boy would do well in a foster family that had another dog to play with or who would be willing to play with him themselves. Please rescue Bentley!
