About Atlas

He may have a frosted face, but this 5-6 year old dog is still active and playful. Atlas loves exploring his foster mom's big yard and romping-n-playing with his doggie pals. He even enjoys playing with young puppies! He's great with people & returns from his adventures to give kisses and cuddles. This sweet boy likes to have his tummy rubbed. He does jump to give hugs, but this is something training can resolve. Atlas is smart and catches on quickly to new routines. He 'sits' on command and will 'shake' or 'give paw' when asked. He's non-reactive to cats which can be seen in the video below. Atlas is leash and house trained. He has been in a crate, but not for more than 3-4 hours. His current foster mom works from home so he has not needed to be in a crate much. His foster mom shared: 'He is such a funny boy...if he sees you have a treat, he'll Sit, then give one paw, then the other then wait for it. Today it was vanilla wafers. ? He really is the sweetest fella!' We highly recommend training classes for all of our dogs to get everyone off to a great start. Training recommendations are available. We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in his genetic background. Our best guess is a Lab/Smooth Coated Collie/Golden mix.
