About Bones

Adoption Fee: $175
Saint Bernard / Great Dane
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Intake Date: 8 Apr 2022 ----- Age at intake: 3 yrs ----- Breed: Saint Bernard / Great Dane guess ----- Size: 100 lbs ----- Status: Pound/Owner Reclaim Expiration ----- Compatible with: large dogs, children. No cats. ----- Suitable for: home with a securely fenced yard. No exceptions. ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: Extremely strong. No leash manners, or basic manners. ----- Additional Notes: Bones came to rescue once his time expired from the pound to prevent euthanasia. He is a giant leggy guy. And very strong. He pulls like a freight train so we are working on that. Bones seems to love other dogs although we have only had him with medium and large and won't small dog test him. He is too reactive with the stray cats here so no go for kitties. This giant boy is going to need a consistent owner who is excited to train because he is eager to learn and desires to please. He does flinch and flutter his eyes with quick hand movements so he has likely been bopped and struck a few times. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is mandatory
