About Dixie

Dixie is a 3-year-old Shepherd-mix female that weighs 63 pounds. She is a very sweet and friendly dog - her tail doesn't stop wagging and she greets people with a big smile. This precious girl is good with other dogs, loves to play and sits for treats (which she takes gently). Dixie is an active dog, so she needs an active home - someone who will take her hiking, running or for long walks (one of her favorite pastimes is chasing squirrels and flies). Dixie will need some basic training with her future owner, so she can improve her leash manners. We've rescued her recently, so we're still working on getting to know her, but so far she has been a wonderful dog. While at the shelter, Dixie became everyone's favorite and that's why they kept her longer: to find her a home. She was rescued by ABDR on her last day before euthanization.
