About Rosie - lapcat,gentle

My name is Rosie. I am about 8 or 9 year old, orange female, a full figured gal that prefers to be the only kitty getting all the attention you have to offer. I am very engaging and love to be brushed or petted, and will purr and purr. Ginger kitties are huge on purr and human bonding time. I have large copper-colored eyes, white socks, chest and tummy, and orange tabby stripes on my back and tail, as well as an 'M' on my forehead. I enjoy warming my fur in the sun while watching the birds and outside activity. I have been told I have a heart of gold and deeply bond with my guardians. I would be great for a senior or someone working from home, or your first kitty. I am low maintenance. I love to eat as you can see, I've put on a few pounds like most people working from home these days and weigh around 12#. I enjoy playing with cat nip mice and cat springs. I will go off by myself for play time then check back in. I am not accustomed to a dog, but if the dog was very cat friendly, I would take it under consideration. I have been around kids over 6 years old. Oh and I am spayed, micro-chipped, and current on vaccines. I am needing a new home because my former Mom has breast cancer, and moved around with a walker, it was to hard for her to bend down to care for my needs. She wanted me to be re-homed so she would know that I am safe and not put in a shelter as she was getting to the point of not being able to care for me properly. I am ready for a new family. The rescue just took me for a checkup, (vet pricing has gone up, rescue cost were over $150). The doctor gave me a clean bill of health. If an application is submitted by Easter, Snow Camp is offering $15 off my $100 adoption fee. If you are in search of a easy going, have an enormous amount of love to share, a quiet gal who loves playtime, and not bother with younger kitties tearing up you house, I would be a great fit.
