About Domino

Adoption Fee: $500
Great Dane / Great Pyrenees
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

LOCATION: De Berry, Texas DOB: 03/22/2018 (Estimate) Domino is a low energy, somewhat dominant, sweet and loving gal. She likes to meet new people at her own pace (she prefers to do the approaching), but once she has accepted you into her inner circle (giving her a treat greatly speeds up this process) you will find she is a Velcro pup and she will let you pet and love all over her. She also loves to snuggle with her people on the couch, or the bed or on the chair-whether she fits or not. But she listens and if you tell her to get down, she will. Because of her protective nature, Domino would do best in an adult only home or a home with older teens. We also feel she would likely do best in a low to no traffic home. In addition to being protective over 'her' human, she can be protective of other dogs in the home. She will get reactive when dogs play or do zoomies as she thinks they are fighting and will jump into protection mode. She would do best in a home with no other dogs. She is a free-feeder/grazer, rarely finishing the bowl at any given time. Domino loves her tennis balls. Her tennis ball is her security blanket. She will take it everywhere and sometimes falls asleep with it in her mouth. She loves to have the ball thrown, but her version of fetch is, 'You throw. I will go get it. I will probably not give it back for a while.' She also likes squeaky toys, stuffies, and apparently flies because she tries to eat them! She will happily dismantle any toy you give her. She LOVES belly rubs! Her foster mom says she can give Domino a kiss on the nose without Domino returning any slobbery licks or kisses back. She has not been cat tested. She has seen cats across the street, but doesn't pay much attention to them. She does a great job protecting her yard from rogue squirrels and birds. She barks to scare them away; but is able to be easily redirected. She does well in a crate, but prefers access to couches or a bed, and is not destructive in the home. Domino is working on her leash skills with her foster mom and knows how to sit, lay down, and give her paw (for treats, of course). If you are looking for a sweet, low energy dog who will certainly make you feel safe, Domino is your gal! ========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .
