About Romeo!

Meet Romeo! Romeo is a precious 8-9 year, male American Bulldog mix. Romeo is a sweet older gentleman who is patiently waiting to spend his golden years in a place he can call his forever home. Romeo would do best in an adult only home. He is very loving, affectionate, and tolerant. He has a steady and calm energy. He is loyal and loves to be with his people. He is easy to have around, and is a low maintenance guy who prefers to just lay at your feet and be in your company. He can make a great homebody who is just delighted to be around you at all times. Romeo has excellent house manners, and he is potty trained. He is not destructive in the home, and he likes to nibble on his giant knotted rope. He does not go onto the furniture ( unless invited ), and he is quite content to lay on the floor on a cushiony mat. He is a good sleeper through the night. He does not bark. He is calm in the car. He is cooperative at vets visits and at groomers with bathing, ears rinsing and nail trims. He does well on the leash. He likes to take time on the walks and smell every flower! Romeo is respectful of people and kids but he doesn't like to be touched by strangers. He absolutely loves other dogs. On the walks he is happy to greet every dog that passes by. He doesn't show any reactivity to dogs who do not like him or if they bark at him. No cats for Romeo. Romeo loves food and he is a quick learner if praised with treats. He loves fresh fruits and vegetables. His favorite are celery, carrots and apples. Romeo weighs 63 pounds. He is in a good health, fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heart worm tested negative. Romeo would love a low traffic adult household where he would thrive. He loves order, consistency and predictability. Romeo is in a foster home in Portland, OR.
