About Heidi

Adoption Fee: $350
Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Heidi, a 1.5 year old Australian Cattledog who weighs around 30 pounds. Heidi was a stray and was rescued by Good Samaritans. She didn't originally know what it was to be a house dog, but has quickly learned. Heidi has already learned to sit and has learned to walk on a leash. She is also learning heel. Heidi is almost done with her house training. Heidi is a typical herder in that she prefers a polite introduction to new people. She can be nervous at first, so a quieter home and one without small kids is better for her. Heidi is definitely not an apartment dog. She also needs a home that doesn't leave her alone in the yard, as she can jump a fence to find her people at the front door. Heidi would likely do best as an only dog, but maybe could live with a polite dog her size or larger. She lives with a dog currently, so is just dog selective. We have no idea how she would be with cats. Heidi has the makings of a fun, active companion. She is good on leash and is fine in the car since she loves to go somewhere with her person. She also loves to fetch (click on the red YouTube button to watch her fetch). Heidi is an active girl and easy to train. She is definitely a loyal girl who will be devoted to her person(s). Heidi is located in Garden Grove, CA. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. A home visit and vet reference are required. We do not ship dogs, so adopters must be able to meet and adopt here.
