About Molly

Lab / Golden Retriever
Sex: Female

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Very sweet girl who is just not fitting in to my pack through what seems like no fault of her own. Found her as a stray in October, not chipped, not claimed, just sort of showed up and stayed when I couldn't find an owner. First vet visit turned up massive double ear infection (treated), 2nd vet visit turned up HW+ and she's just finished her 2 months of crate-rest with 3 shot treatment. While on crate-rest she got a UTI (treated) and went into heat (surprise!!), so it's been a rough few months for her. Before her HW diagnosis she was doing pretty well with my other dogs but I could tell that my dominant female wasn't a huge fan. They had a couple of small spats but nothing crazy for a new dog making her way into a pack with 3 other large dogs. Then came the crate rest where she was separated from them for 2 months, her anxiety is pretty high and my idiot roommate decided to try to reintegrate them basically all at once on his own and it was a disaster. She didn't even fight at all but my dogs were just like NOPE, not today. Everyone is ok now but I just don't have the bandwidth to handle this. She's a super sweet girl and does absolutely fine with my large male and my much younger, very submissive but rough playful, female. It's really just my alpha female that is causing the issues. She does fine with my cats, mostly ignores them, sometimes a little nose bump. I haven't had her around children but she's not rough with the cats or dogs or us so I would think she'd be fine. Vet thinks she is maybe 3-4 years old. It looks like she's nursed at least 1 litter. She can't be fixed right now because of the anesthesia being an issue right after the HW treatment. Her first post-HW treatment test (for baby worms I think?) came back negative so that's a good sign. She's up to date on all shots, has been on regular flea/tick/HW treatment since October. She's been chipped. She's got a Banfield wellness plan that runs through like November 2022 that can be transferred to her new owner if they like. I would love to keep her as she really is SUCH a sweet dog and she just wants to be loved. She's not overly hyper but she does like to play, she has no issue lounging around or being out and about. She loves car rides and walks. She's non-reactive thus far... Mostly ignores other dogs/people on walks & could care less about all the dogs barking in the neighborhood. I just want her to have a good home and a good life. She's been through so much just since I found her and I don't know what her history is like but she seems to just want to be 'home' and I would love to see her with someone that can offer her a safe and loving home.
