About Apricot

**SPECIAL DOG SEEKING SPECIAL FAMILY - PLEASE READ FULL BIO** Sweet Apricot is as cute as her name! This approx 1-2 yr old golden/lab type mix is as lovely as they come. Unfortunately Apricot does have some heart issues, likely congenital, that make her future a little more unknown. Although let's be real, none of us can predict what is going to happen to us a day, a week or 10 years from now! In the meantime Apricot is just making sure she makes the best out of every day and fits as much love as possible into her slightly broken (literally) heart. Apricot does have a pronounced (grade IV) heart murmur but it does not appear enlarged on x-rays and her enzymes are still in the normal range. She would do best seeing a veterinary cardiology specialist and seeing if any medications are warranted to slow down or stop any damage from occurring. For this reason one of our board members will be sponsoring her adoption fee for an appropriately qualified home to offset this cost. Now that we are past the less happy part of Apricot's story we can focus on her amazing personality. This girl has the sweetest temperament - she will jump up and literally hug you with her whole body. She is a rockstar in our playgroup and loves all other dogs, particularly those willing to wrestle and romp with her. Trying to tell her to slow down is like trying to baptize a cat.
