About Jasper

Jasper is a roughly five year old male Siberian Husky. We adopted him out of the Humane Society as he was going to be put to sleep due to overcrowding. He has lived with my other male husky and they get along well, but he would likely do better with another large female. He does have some dominant tendencies towards other new male dogs. He is not good with small dogs, cats, or other small animals. He is an extreme escape artist which is how he ended up being placed up for adoption originally. We will not rehome him unless he has a large yard with a tall fence. We also use a Fi smart collar on him at all times. He also has some separation anxiety and can be destructive if left alone. He is crate trained, but will try everything in his power to escape. He would do best in a home with owners who are home a majority of the time, and who have an active lifestyle and a house and large yard. He is snuggly and sweet and does well with my toddler son, but would do better with older kids as he's pretty high energy and doesn't realize how big he is. He loves having a routine and really hates deviation from it.
