About BEAR

Adoption Fee: $200
Lab / German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Thank you for your interest in adopting. Every dog is spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, micro chipped, had multiple dewormings, and receives parasite prevention. Every dog comes with their medical records. Bear successfully completed Heartworm treatment in February. Bear is a 2 year old Lab mix. His previous owner was a jerk and left his 3 dogs on the side of the highway for someone else to deal with. The dogs waited for there for a week, greeting people who stopped to offer them food, and dodging traffic. When temps dropped to 20 degrees, we had to rescue Bear and his friends, even though we didn't have a foster lined up for them. All three dogs went to the same foster home where they have learned that their lives are valued. Bear is crate trained, loves his ball and other toys, will stand on his head for a biscuit. Bear's adopter should keep a good supply of dog biscuits on hand. He would do well with some one on one training. He is a sweet dog. He never lived with cats or kids that we are aware so we prefer he live in a single pet home with a fenced yard. Or he can adopt with Sunny, his friend who he was dumped with. They are good together. Two dogs for one fee for the person who wants both. Bear enjoys naps in the sun. He does not dig and not much of a barker. Bear is an easy dog who you will love. $200 total adoption fee for Bear.
