Little Shyla is looking for her forever home. She is a 6 month old Mini Walrus which is a Sharpei and Beagle mix. She is extremely scared of new people and new experiences. It took her 3 days to even try to approach us when we first got her to foster and 4 days before she ate more than a few bites. She is very smart and very playful after she feels safe and gets used to her surroundings. She gets along with dogs and loves the chase. It is my recommendation that she not be homed with anyone with cats or small dogs. I currently have her enrolled in puppy training classes on Saturdays and hope to build her confidence with new people and new dogs. She is potty trained and uses the doggie door easily. She sleeps all night in her crate and goes easily into the crate when I have to run an errand. She is a good girl and needs a patient home that understands to give her a lot of space and let her come to you when she's ready. She is very comfortable with us now, plays with us, loves learning to sit, stay and down and gives us big walrus kisses but that took time and was all on her terms. If you have a ton of love to give and the patience to gain her trust, she will be your forever best friend.
