About Moby

Meet Moby! He is a Retriever Mix and weighs about 55-pounds. Moby was part of a group of over 25 dogs from a rural property. He is used to people around but raised very much with a pack mentality. Moby was left to fend for himself, outside of an occasional kibble dump. Moby has the badges of honor to prove his life wasn't an easy one. He has little vision in his left eye guessed to be from an old injury. It does not appear it will be a health issue at all. He has some minor scaring as well but he is still as handsome as ever. Moby has been in foster and is loving the life of luxury! He likes other dogs very much and has a neutral disposition; he has not displayed submission or dominance in his foster home. It takes Moby a few days for warm up to new people so a calmer home would be best for him. He holds his potty very well and will thank you with a gentle lick to the hand as he passes you on a walk or after a feeding. Moby is doing great but still needs a little help learning about the world. We consider Moby to be semi-feral but have not seen any signs of aggression...he chooses flight in high pressure situations. He needs someone to give him confidence through structure. Another dog in the home is a must as he takes cues from them and we think viewing him as your dog's dog is appropriate!
